all power is given to me - lamb slain to receive

All Power Is Given To Me: Is Yahusha YAHUAH (Is Jesus God) Part 3

ALL POWER IS GIVEN TO ME

Mat 28:18  And Yahusha came and spake unto them, saying, All power (authority) is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Here on Just a Word, we continue to contend for the faith once delivered to the saints.

Now this is even more important today (contending for the faith once delivered to the saints). This is because the Gentiles have taken the belief of our fathers, made it into their ancient pagan story, and have fooled the world (through their false religions) into thinking this false story is actually Biblical truth.

As part of the corrupt process, the son of YAHUAH is made co-equal to YAHUAH in a so-called Trinity. This in keeping with the Babylonian story of Semiramis, Nimrod and Tammuz.

That is the reason we have to be doing articles like this, proving that the Father and Son are two separate beings (though one in spirit).

We continue to prove that the Bible does not say that nor support a Trinity, neither did the Messiah, nor Apostles teach it as well.

We have looked at it in our Should We Worship The Messiah series. This series looks at common verses that are misinterpreted to either say we should worship the Messiah, or that Yahusha is Elohiym equal to the Father (as claimed by Christianity).

Rev 5:12
Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to RECEIVE power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

We also previously looked at Is Yahusha YAHUAH (Is Jesus God) of which this post is part 3 in the series. This series looks at verses that prove Yahusha and YAHUAH are one in Spirit, but two different beings.

In other words, Yahusha is a man who was GIVEN the 7 spirits of YAHUAH, but that does not make him the same as, nor equal to the Father, the Most High YAHUAH TSEVA’OTH.

“All power is given to me” (Mat 28:18) is a statement made by the Messiah before he was taken up into the heavens. This was after he was put to death and resurrected. In other words, after the lamb was slain.

Today we continue our task to rescue people from the lies of organized religion by looking at the meaning and implications of “All power is given to me.”

IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WORD (Part 1) | What does John 1 really mean?

RECONCILING REVELATION 5:12 AND 7:12

Our task today is to reconcile that verse above (Revelation 5:12) with a similar verse in Revelation 7:12. In doing so, they will help us along the way to understand what the Messiah means by “all power is given to me.”

Both verses are saying almost the same thing. One (Rev 5:12) refers to the Father and the other (Rev 7:12) refers to the Son.

So let us match them to see if they are actually saying the same thing as it may appear.

Rev 5:12
Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to RECEIVE power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

Rev 7:12  Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our Elohiym for ever and ever. Awmane.

Right off the bat, we see the difference between both.

Both the Father and the Lamb had all authority, but the Lamb was SLAIN TO RECEIVE his (Rev 5:12). This means there was a time in which he did not have this authority!

However, it belonged to YAHUAH Elohiym forever and ever (Rev 7:12). This means there was never a time in which the Father did not have this authority.

Again, compare with the Lamb (Rev 5:12) who RECEIVED this authority (power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing).

CONTEXT OF REVELATION 7:12

We continue the task to reconcile them by looking at Revelation 7 to get the context of Revelation 7:12.

Revelation 7:9
After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

The multitude stood before the throne on which one (YAHUAH) was seated (Rev 4:2, Rev 5:7) and before the Lamb (Yahusha) who was not the one on the throne.

Next:

Revelation 7:10
And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our Elohiym which sitteth upon the throne (YAHUAH), and unto the Lamb (Yahusha HaMashiach).

HERALDING THE FATHER AND THE SON

Revelation 7:11
And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshiped YAHUAH,

They worshiped YAHUAH because it was he who made it possible for mankind to be redeemed through giving up his son, Yahusha, the Lamb of YAHUAH. Again, two separate beings.

Revelation 7:12
Saying, Awmane: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our Elohiym (YAHUAH, see below) for ever and ever. Awmane.

1Co 8:6
But to us there is but one Elohiym, the Father (YAHUAH), of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Master Yahusha HaMashiach), by (dia: through / because of /on account of) whom are all things, and we by him.

So all authority and dominion belong to the Father. Nothing was given to him.

So next, let us look at Revelation 5, see what it says about the Lamb of YAHUAH (Yahusha HaMashiach), and match it with what Revelation 7 says about YAHUAH. Let us reconcile both.

CONTEXT OF REVELATION 5:12

Now we have seen the context of Revelation 7:12, let us look at the context of Revelation 5:12.

Rev 5:11 — Rev 5:12
And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;

Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to RECEIVE power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

The Lamb received power, riches, wisdom, strength, honour, glory, and blessing from whom?

From YAHUAH TSEVA’OTH.

All things were given to him (the Lamb), by whom?

YAHUAH TSEVA’OTH.

This of course, includes the 7 spirits before the throne of YAHUAH (John 3:34, Rev 5:6).

(We will look at this word “GIVEN” soon below).

Rev 5:13
And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne (YAHUAH), and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.

BOTH THE FATHER AND THE SON HERALDED

Next, we see who was worshiped.

Rev 5:13
And the four beasts said, Awmane. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshiped him that liveth for ever and ever.

Who lives forever? Remember, the Lamb was slain. In fact, he told us that he was dead but now lives (Rev 2:8).

They worshiped the ancient of days, YAHUAH TSEVA’OTH who lives forever. He is the only one who cannot die and has never died.

Why did they worship him? He was the one who GAVE all to the Lamb. This is confirmed by matching the account in Daniel.

Dan 7:13 — Dan 7:14
I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.

And there was given him (the son was given by the Father) dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

GIVING AND RECEIVING

That word “given” again, which we will look at a little bit more soon. Giving in (Rev 7:12) and receiving in (Rev 5:12) separate both verses.

YAHUAH is the one who gives, and the Messiah receives!

Now that we have that established let us look a little closer at the direct difference between the two verses.

Revelation 7:12
Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our Elohiym (YAHUAH : See 1 Cor 8:6) for ever and ever. Awmane.

Revelation 5:12
Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

The first accolade was to YAHUAH,  who is above all. The second in 5:12 is to the Lamb who received all these attributes. The Lamb was slain to receive it.

So we have that established. Let us now go a little further. Let us use precept upon precept, line upon line, here a little there a little to get understanding of this giving and receiving of power and authority by YAHUAH to Yahusha.

1Co 15:22 — 1Co 15:24
For as in Adam all die, even so in Messiah shall all be made alive.

But every man in his own order: Messiah the firstfruits; afterward they that are Messiah’s at his coming.

Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to YAHUAH, even the Father; when he (the Messiah) shall have put down all rule and all authority and power (that was given to him by YAHUAH).

The Messiah has to be given all rule and authority and power to deliver up the kingdom to YAHUAH (Satan, sin, and death have to be overcome).

1Co 15:25 — 1Co 15:27
For he must reign, till he (Yahusha) hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he (YAHUAH) is excepted, which did put all things under him.

The Messiah was given the same honour as YAHUAH (in Rev 5:12) because YAHUAH gave him all things so he can defeat sin and death. But YAHUAH is excepted, meaning YAHUAH is not under him, but still remains sovereign and separate.

1 Cor 15:27
And when all things shall be subdued unto him (Messiah), then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him (YAHUAH) that put all things under him, that Elohiym may be all in all.

So what is that verse telling us?

After death is defeated, then the son will be subjected to the Most High, which is when the following will be manifested:

Rev 22:3 — Rev 22:5
And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of Elohiym and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for YAHUAH Elohiym giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

MORE EVIDENCE OF THE SON BEING GIVEN AUTHORITY BY THE FATHER

So let us end by listing some more verses that relate to the giving of this power and authority.

Mat 28:18
And YAHUSHA came and spake unto them, saying, All power is GIVEN unto me in heaven and in earth.

Jn 6:65
And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

Jn 17:7
Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.

Jn 17:8
For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee (not “I am thee”), and they have believed that thou didst send me (he was a messenger/MESSIAH sent) by YAHUAH).

Jn 17:22
And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

Jn 17:6
I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.

Jn 16:15
All things that the Father hath are mine (all things given to him): therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

1 John 3:8
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of Elohiym was manifested (given), that he might destroy the works of the devil.

CONCLUSION: WHAT DOES IT MEAN BY ALL POWER IS GIVEN TO ME?

All power is given to me? We can see a big difference.

The Most High is the one who gives all authority. The Messiah is the one who receives. They are not one and the same beings, although they are one in spirit.

Is Yahusha YAHUAH? Certainly not. The Most High is above all. As the Messiah said:

Joh_10:29  My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand

And lest we believe he and the Father are the same, he also said:

Joh_14:28  Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

ALL THINGS WERE MADE BY HIM? What Does This Mean? In the Beginning Was the Word (Part 2)
