1. Holy Bible: King James Version, 1611 Edition
If you want the original version of the King James Bible, then here it is.
With this KJV 1611, the only touch of modernity is a far more readable roman typeface set by nineteenth-century master printers. This is the first on our list of Bible study resources.
2. New Cambridge Paragraph Bible with Apocrypha (Personal Size)
It is good to have the authentic replica of the 1611 King James Version. However, for some, it can be slightly annoying reading the bible in “old” English. Many struggle with reading the original 1611 KJV (featured above).
The next best thing is the New Cambridge Paragraph Bible with Apocrypha.
The text itself is presented in paragraph form, with marginal notes, and adopts modern conventions of spelling and punctuation to make it easy to read and use. The New Cambridge Paragraph Bible was originally published in 2005 in a large format and, like the original King James Bible and successive editions until the nineteenth century, included the Apocrypha.
As it has become known in the marketplace, a demand has become apparent for this Bible in a smaller, more manageable format. Its is therefore now being issued in Personal Size editions, either with or without the Apocrypha. This particular Bible includes the Apocrypha and comes in hardcover.
3. Zondervan’s Compact Bible Dictionary
Zondervan’s Compact Bible Dictionary was made famous through it’s distinction between the negroes and the sons of Ham, revealing that not all black people are of the same lineage.
It is a fact-and-image-filled guide to the arts, cultures, geography, geology, theologies, philosophies, and lifestyles of biblical times. It is easy to use, and full of a wealth of information, the Zondervan Compact Bible Dictionary will equip your study of the Bible.
It contains:
* Concise definitions of persons, places, objects, events, and concepts
* Over 5,000 entries
* Summaries of the books of the Bible
* Information about archaeological finds in the Holy Land
* Hundreds of illustrations
* Maps of the ancient world from the time of Abraham to the height of the Roman Empire (2000 B.C.-A.D. 117)
* Conservative in scholarship, comprehensive in scope
* Ideal for laypersons, students, teachers, and pastors
4. The Complete Apocrypha: 2018 Edition with Enoch, Jasher, and Jubilees
We were told that the 66 books of the Bible were all we need, but in the book of Daniel it points to the end times and says knowledge shall increase. Books that were hidden from us are now available and this collection contains books that actually fills in the gaps left after reading the Bible.

6. The Books of Enoch: The Angels, The Watchers and The Nephilim:
(With Extensive Commentary on the Three Books of Enoch, the Fallen Angels, the Calendar of Enoch, and Daniel’s Prophecy)
The books of Enoch are very controversial, but here at Just a Word, we find it to be priceless as a Bible study resource in how it aids in our understanding of the Bible. We even did a podcast episode, using an excerpt from the book to prove its authenticity in keeping with biblical principles. Here is the episode:
This volume, contains The First Book of Enoch (The Ethiopic Book of Enoch), The Second Book of Enoch (The Slavonic Secrets of Enoch), The Third Book of Enoch (The Hebrew Book of Enoch), and The Book of Fallen Angels, The Watchers, and the Origins of Evil. Expanded Commentary is included for the three books of Enoch, as well as the sections on Angels, Prophecies and the Enochian Calendar.
Additionally, after presenting extensive historical backgrounds and brilliant translations of The First, Second, and Third Books of Enoch, Dr. Joseph Lumpkin takes time to piece together a historical narrative of Fallen Angels, the Watcher, and the Nephilim, using his extensive knowledge of ancient texts. The history of the Fallen Angels is sewn tightly together using such books as Enoch, Jasher, Jubilees, The Book of Giants, The War Scrolls, and many others.
7. HEBREWS TO NEGROES: WAKE UP BLACK AMERICA!
At Just a Word, we are truth-seekers, and this book called Hebrews to Negroes will offend many with the truth. It goes beyond the 1600’s and tells the story of the Hebrews and shows who they are today.
The author Ronald Dalton Jr has such a wealth of knowledge, and he shares much with us in this book. This is a life changing read!
8. From Babylon to Timbuktu: A History of the Ancient Black Races Including the Black Hebrews
This book has become the go-to resource for those proving that the descendants of the slave trade are indeed the Hebrews of scripture.
This is beneficial for those wishing to embark upon studies in relation to the original Hebrews and where they are today throughout the world in this 21st century period.
Rudolph R Windsor really has executed his research. It shows in his writings.
9. Apocrypha, King James Version (Hardcover)
We have featured an Apocrypha as one of our recommended Bible study resources before, but this is a personal sized, hard cover version of the books that were removed from the original KJV 1611 version.
This size is great for mobility, great for taking on the road. If you are ministering on the road, this is very convenient to take with you. If you see Hebrew Israelite groups on the street, this is most likely the Apocrypha that they are using. The drawback of course is the fine print that may make it uncomfortable for those with vision problems.
10. Strongest Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible Larger Print Edition (Hardcover)
No recommended Bible study resources would be complete without a concordance. A concordance takes you back to the root meaning of the Hebrew (old testament) and Greek (new testament). In this way, you can get more understanding of each word.
The time-honored Strong’s concordance is now improved with large, readable type font.
As with the first Strongest Strong’s, this edition is written with unprecedented accuracy and clarity by John Kohlenberger and James Swanson. Longstanding errors from the original have been corrected and omissions filled in.
