PRE-TRIBULATION RAPTURE: TRUE OR FALSE (ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE)
Is the pre-tribulation rapture true or false according to the bible? Notice I did not say according to pastor. I said according to the word.
WHAT IS THE PRE-TRIBULATION RAPTURE?
But first, what is the pre-tribulation rapture? To begin with, there is no such word in the bible called “rapture.” Anyway, let us ignore that (for the ime being) as we examine what the rapture actually is.
Now the bible tells us of an event that will take place that has never been seen before and never will be seen again.
Mat 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Mat 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.
GREAT TRIBULATION
This “great tribulation” is what the rapture is supposed to protect Christian believers from. The teaching is that the Messiah will come before great tribulation which they call “the great tribulation” and take them away to heaven. This is based on 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17.
1Th 4:16 For the Master himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of Aluah: and the dead in Mashiach shall rise first:
1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Master in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Master.
