HEAD AND HAIR WHITE LIKE WOOL?

In the book of Revelation, we were given a hint about the color of Yahusha HaMashiach.

But there appears to be two contradicting accounts there caused by the term head and hair white like wool. Consequently, some say Revelation 1:14-15 was saying he is black, while others are saying he was white.

DOES IT MATTER WHAT RACE THE MESSIAH WAS?

Now most will say it does not matter. However, we were given Ruach emat (the spirit of truth) to lead us into all truth. Not some truth, mind you, but all truth:

Joh_16:13  Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Now that means all truth matters. That is complemented by this verse in Revelation which more or less tells us that if we make or even love a lie, we cannot enter the kingdom:

Rev 22:15  For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

So the onus on is is to solve this problem, to find out the truth and love the truth as to what HaMashiach looks like. Otherwise, by brushing it aside, we would be guilty of loving a lie. So what does head and hair white like wool mean?

HIS FEET LIKE UNTO FINE BRASS, AS IF THEY BURNED IN A FURNACE

Today, we are going to resolve it quite easily.

On our video “Who Is Jesus Christ” (shown at the top of this post), a comment came in on YouTube to challenge the point that the Messiah Yahusha was a black man.

This is because we had quoted Revelation 1:15 to show that he must have been, and will be coming back as, a negro:

Rev 1:15  And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

HIS HEAD AND HIS HAIRS WERE WHITE LIKE WOOL (REVELATION 1:14)

However, in verse fourteen it gave what appears to be a contradiction:

Rev 1:14  His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

Head and hairs white like wool?

So someone commented and asked this question:

His head AND his hairs were white like wool – which part of his head (not his hairs as this was distinct) … was white?

In other words, the question was implying that if it says his head and his hairs were white, then surely it is the skin on his face that was white!

Needless to say this is a good question, and good questions on biblical matters only bring out deeper truths.

THE LIGHT OF HIS COUNTENANCE

And let’s go straight to the answer. His entire head was white because of the light of his countenance, shining like the sun. Hence his head being white is not referencing his complexion, but the effect of his countenance shining like the sun.

See the subsequent verse below as proof..

Revelation 1:16
And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and HIS COUNTENANCE WAS AS THE SUN SHINETH IN HIS STRENGTH.

Now what does countenance mean?

countenance
Greek: ὄψις
Transliteration: opsis
Pronunciation: op’-sis
Definition: From G3700; properly sight (the act) that is (by implication) the visage an external show: – appearance countenance face.

KJV Usage: appearance (1x), face (1x), countenance (1x).
Occurs: 3

It means face!

It was his face that was illuminated, not his whole body!!!

THE SIMILITUDE OF TRANSFIGURATION

Did you know that there is a similitude of this in the book of Matthew? Take a look at this:

Mat 17:1  And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,

Mat 17:2  And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.

His face shone like the sun at the transfiguration!

Game, set and match. That’s it.

That is what Yahuchanon (John ) saw in Revelation 1:14.

HaMashiach’s face shone like the sun, hence his face and his hair  were white like snow. It does not mean that that was his complexion!

THE TRUE COMPLEXION OF HAMASHIACH?

Hence the true complexion is shown on his feet where the illumination was not manifested.

Revelation 1:15-16
And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

You see, HaMashiach knew that if he did not show his feet to John so he could bear a record for us today, then everyone would say that he was “white” in appearance according to what they would deuce from Revelation 1:14.

Now that would hide the truth too much in the end time, and not let the true negro children of Israel in the end time know that he was one of them!

Hence the attempt to use Revelation 1:14 (head and hairs white like wool) to say he was a white person is simply easily proven as being yet another false claim.

HAIR WHITE LIKE WOOL ONLY REFERS TO THE COLOR?

By the way, some try to say white like wool just refers to the color and not the texture. Well that could be the case if you held Revelation 1:14 in isolation. However, scripture proves scripture.

Now we know that HaMashiach is the son of the Most High and he is the image of his Father! Here we have him being described as the image of his Father:

Col_1:15  Who is the image of the invisible Aluhym, the firstborn of every creature:

But what is the meaning of image?

It means he looks like his Father!

Now if we were to see the Most High in the Spirit, guess what his hair looks like?

Dan 7:9  I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.

So if the Father’s hair is like the pure wool, why would the son’s hair look any different considering that the son is the image of the Father? Need we go any further? I guess not.

Yashusha HaMashiach was and is returning as a negro, what we call today, a black man.. If this post does not make it clear, then I don’t know what else to say. This is the truth as my daughter was shown in a dream.
