JUBILEES 6 EXPOSES LUNAR CALENDAR FALLACY
The book of Jubilees has clearly exposed the lunar sabbath fallacy that is being preached today. In the book of Jubilees chapter 6, there some dire warnings given to us, the children of Yasharal (to whom were given the sabbaths).
These warnings are specifically focused on the danger of not making the year 364 days, and also following the moon as the marker for calculating the year.
In this post, we will do a verse by verse breakdown to see what Jubilees 6 is actually saying. We will show that it is boldly telling us of the danger and futility of a lunar calendar.
So let’s begin.
JUBILEES 6:32
Jubilees 6:32 And command you the children of Yisrael that they observe the years according to this reckoning- three hundred and sixty-four days, and (these) will constitute a complete year, and they will not disturb its time from its days and from its feasts; for everything will fall out in them according to their testimony, and they will not leave out any day nor disturb any feasts.
Major points in this verse?
- The year must be 364 days.
- This must not be disturbed.
- If the year is not 364 days, everything will fall out of alignment.
This means the year has to have a continuous 364 day cycle, never to be changed or we will get the times (feasts, sabbaths, etc) wrong.
JUBILEES 6:33
Jubilees 33 But if they do neglect and do not observe them according to His commandment, then they will disturb all their seasons and the years will be dislodged from this (order), [and they will disturb the seasons and the years will be dislodged] and they will neglect their ordinances.
Major points in Jubilees 6:33?
- Again emphasizing that if we do not keep it at 364 days, then the seasons (moedym/feasts) will be dislodged.
- We will even neglect the ordinances.
We see how important it is for us to keep the year at 364 days. It will even cause us to neglect the ordinances. This is what happened to us when we were on the 365 days Gregorian calendar of the world. We totally neglected the feasts.
JUBILEES 6:34
Jubilees 6:34 And all the children of Yisrael will forget and will not find the path of the years, and will forget the new months (new moons), and seasons, and Shabbats and they will go wrong as to all the order of the years.
Major points in Jubilees 6:34? If not 364 days, then…
- We will forget and not be able to find the true year.
- The new moons (new months), feasts (seasons) and sabbaths will be forgotten.
- We will not know the order of the years (we will not know when a year begins and ends).
So everything will fall out of alignment if we do not keep the years 364 days. This is a simple way to tell us that following a lunar calendar is spiritually suicidal!
JUBILEES 6:35
Jubilees 6:35 For I know and from henceforth will I declare it unto you, and it is not of my own devising; for the book is written before me, and on the heavenly tablets the division of days is ordained, lest they forget the feasts of the covenant and walk according to the feasts of the Gentiles after their error and after their ignorance.
Major points in Jubilees 6:35
- The order is written in the heavens
- The 364 days calendar is what makes the difference between the feasts of YAHUAH, and the feasts of the Gentiles.
- Without the 364 days year, we will be in the error and ignorance of the Gentiles.
The ignorance of the Gentiles?
We have shown before, that those in the land called Israel are really Gentiles. They are those who say they are Jews and are not.
Ironically, these are the people who are leading the charge for a lunar calendar. They have given us what they called the Hebrew calendar.
By the way, I get flustered when I hear that term Hebrew calendar, because I know they are not Hebrews.
Anyway, by following their 354 days calendar, we fulfill Jubilees 6:35, going after the error of the Gentles.

JUBILEES 6:36
Jubilees 6:36 For there will be those who will assuredly make observations of the moon -how it disturbs the seasons and comes in from year to year ten days too soon.
Major points from Jubilees 6:36?
- The error will be in observing the moon as the marker for the year.
- The ten days excess of the sun’s 364 days year over the moon’s 354 days year will cause error on those holding onto the moon’s as the determining factor for the year.
This has to be making the moon the core focus in calculating the year. Undoubtedly, this is a dire warning against a lunar calendar.
Why?
Because it uses the moon as the core determinant of a year. Trying to reconcile the moon coming up ten days short of the 364 days year will cause us to err.
JUBILEES 6:37
Jubilees 6:37 For this reason the years will come upon them when they will disturb (the order), and make an abominable (day) the day of testimony, and an unclean day a feast day, and they will confound all the days, the kodesh with the unclean, and the unclean day with the kodesh; for they will go wrong as to the months and Shabbats and feasts and jubilees.
Major points from Jubilees 6:37? By considering the moon and trying to reconcile it to make the year 364 days using the moon?
- The order will be disturbed.
- Sabbaths and feasts will be on abominable days.
- Unclean days will be mixed with clean days.
- The months, sabbaths, feasts and jubilees will be wrong.
It says “for this reason.” What is “this reason?”
It comes from the previous verses, and that is our people (the children of Yasharal) will follow the Gentiles and use the moon as the basis of calculating a year.
JUBILEES 6:38
Jubilees 6:38 For this reason I command and testify to you that you may testify to them; for after your death your children will disturb them, so that they will not make the year three hundred and sixty-four days only, and for this reason they will go wrong as to the new months and seasons and Shabbats and festivals, and they will eat all kinds of blood with all kinds of flesh.
Major points from Jubilees 6:38?
- If we do not make the year 364 days (without using the moon to calculate it), we will go wrong according to all the feasts.
- We will eat blood? That is what happened to us in our captivity. We ate anything, having no regard for the command to not eat the blood.
Here we have “for this reason” again.
What does it mean in this verse?
From the previous verses, it is disturbing the order by following the errors of the Gentiles by using the moon to calculate the years.
CONCLUSION -HOW JUBILEES 6 EXPOSES LUNAR CALENDAR FALLACY
From Jubilees chapter 6 verse 33 to verse 38, it tells us literally the same thing over and over. Sometimes it tells us in the same words, sometimes rephrased.
So what is it saying?
We MUST MAKE THE YEAR 364 DAYS!
At all costs, the year must be 364 days.
But not only that, the year must not be driven by the moon! The fact that it comes in ten days too soon?
In order to make the year 364 days by making the moon the core of our calculations, we will err, disturb the order and keep wrong days.
Hence, the year MUST be calculated using the sun!
The 364 days begin at the first day of the spring equinox solstice and ends on the last day of the summer solstice. that is 364 days every year.
To the moon belongs the months, not the year.
The moon therefore plays a minor role, not a major role. Indeed, she is the inferior luminary, to the major luminary, which is the sun.
The sun therefore has authority over days (separating light from darkness). 364 of these days make a year.
It is very simple.
On the other hand, the moon is there for signs and for seasons (moedym/feasts), so it heralds the feasts.
That is, excluding the sabbaths, which have been on a continuous seven (7) day cycle since creation. so the months do not herald the sabbaths.
Instead, the days and the years determine the sabbath, as there are 52 sabbaths in a 364 days year.
ShaLaWaM MaShaPaKhaH – greetings in YaHaWaShEye’s wondrous name. Great teaching! Sharing some of my understanding after I did a deep investigation of YaH’s calendar a few years ago. Please consider that the moon (YaRaKh – H3394) is not a month (KhaDaSh – H2320) nor does it start the month – though the scribes have confused the words to make us think so. When we start months using the moon (sliver or full), the year becomes 354 days long – this is the error Jubilees warns us of – the error is how we are starting months by using the moon. This is why the lunar calendar followers add a 13th month every so often. Enoch and Jubilees are very clear – just as you have taught so well – that our years are 364 days only and consist of 12 months – KhaDaSh (not moons – YaRaKh) of 30 days each (360) with 1 day added to the end of each season (+4) = 364 days = 52 weeks = 4 seasons of 13 weeks/ShaBaThs. Absolute Perfection from YaH. The entire 364 day calendar is determined by the Head of Year -day 1 of the 1st month and not the moon. The moon is a faithful witness to the sun at different times and follows the sun through certain gates in the ShaMaYaM at certain times of the year (Enoch Ch 72-82 provides details). Using scripture, Enoch and Jubilees we can determine everything needed to properly calculate YaH’s calendar except for crystal clear guidance on when to exactly start the year. We know it must be around the time of the spring equinox, but do we start it the day of the equinox or the next day after the equinox or the next 4th day of the week (when YaH created the sun, moon and stars) after the equinox or…? Lots of good teachings with lots of good “thinking” about how/when to start the year – I pray the QwaDaSh RaWaKh leads you to exactly where you should be when you should be there.
