“Are You Watching?” Sabbath Teaching
Are you watching? This video (above) looks at the importance of watching to assure our salvation. Many people believe salvation is a “piece of cake.” All we have to do is believe, but there are so many aspects to it, and one of them is the ability to watch and be sober while watching.
Through this all we look at the importance of hearing, listening, learning to fear and observing to do. We will see what all of this has to do with us having Ruach HaQadosh. Additionally, we look at the danger of despising the Ruach by not watching, which can result in the Ruach being taken away from us.
In the end we see how he gathers us together and gives us leaders to guide us as we watch together.
All in all, this video has been an eye opener for us at Just a Word. It appears simple in title, but what it reveals is so profound, it is yet another video that everyone in this word needs to see, but sadly, only a few will do so.
This part 1 of 2 parts as due to technical problems, we got disconnected and had to restart. The link to part 2 is right here below.
We also provide the scriptures used for each slide so you may follow along and truly receive the depths of spiritual understanding that we received in doing this teaching.

VIDEO SCRIPTURE NOTES
HEAR, LEARN, FEAR AND DO!
Deuteronomy 31:11 When all Israel is come to appear before YAHUAH thy Aluah in the place which he shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Israel in their hearing.
Deuteronomy 31:12 Gather the people together, men, and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear YAHUAH your Aluah, and observe to do all the words of this law:
Deuteronomy 31:13 And that their children, which have not known any thing, may hear, and learn to fear YAHUAH your Aluah, as long as ye live in the land whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.
- HEAR
- LEARN
- FEAR
- OBSERVE TO DO
RIGHTEOUSNESS BEGINS WITH HEARING
Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of Aluah.
HEARING BY ITSELF IS NOT ENOUGH
Romans 10:18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.
Romans 10:19 But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.
Romans 10:20 But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.
Romans 10:21 But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.
LEARNING
Deuteronomy 4:9 Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons’ sons;
Deuteronomy 4:10 Specially the day that thou stoodest before YAHUAH thy Aluah in Horeb, when YAHUAH said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.
WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING, WE CANNOT LEARN HIS WAYS
Psalms 119:73 JOD. Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.
AND WITHOUT HIS JUDGMENTS, WE WILL NOT LEARN RIGHTEOUSNESS
Isaiah 26:9 With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.
Isaiah 26:10 Let favour be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of YAHUAH.
Psalms 119:71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.
HEARING, LEARNING & JUDGMENTS ARE SO WE LEARN TO FEAR ALUAH
Deuteronomy 17:18 And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book out of that which is before the priests the Levites:
Deuteronomy 17:19 And it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life: that he may learn to fear YAHUAH his Aluah, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them:
Deuteronomy 17:20 That his heart be not lifted up above his brethren, and that he turn not aside from the commandment, to the right hand, or to the left: to the end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he, and his children, in the midst of Israel.
WITHOUT THE FEAR OF YAHUAH, WE CANNOT LEARN HIS WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
Proverbs 1:7 The fear of YAHUAH is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Proverbs 1:29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of YAHUAH:
We cannot know Aluah without doing his commandments
Psalms 111:10 The fear of YAHUAH is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.
Proverbs 9:10 The fear of YAHUAH is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
OBSERVE TO DO
2 Kings 21:8
Neither will I make the feet of Israel move any more out of the land which I gave their fathers; only if they will observe to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that my servant Moses commanded them.
