Heb 4:9  There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of Aluah.

What rest is it speaking about?

Christians will tell you it is resting in “Jesus Christ.”

Is this what the word says? Would you believe that there is a meaning that changes the entire Christian teaching of Hebrews 4:9?

We use precept upon precept to break it down and show exactly what does Hebrew 4:9 really mean.

    1. Keeping the Shabbath is comprised of three main things: 1. holy convocation (meeting), 2. no work and 3. rest:

Lev 23:3  Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of YAHUAH in all your dwellings.

So you fellowship on the Sabbath with like-minded believers, not doing any work on the day, and resting part of the day as Aluah rested from his work. It is also a feast, listed in Leviticus 23, so on the Sabbath you eat and drink like a feast, celebrating his special day. So all preparation is done the day before (Friday), and remember, the Sabbath starts on the morning of Saturday (see https://justaword.org/when-does-the-sabbath-begin/).
