A WOMAN IS SAVED IN CHILDBEARING?
Saved in childbearing? What is the true meaning of this?
In 1 Timothy 2:15 Sha’ul (Paul) mentioned that a woman shall be saved in childbearing. Many do not understand exactly what it means, nor its implication. Today, we are going to show exactly what Sha’ul was speaking about.
Here is “a woman is saved in childbearing KJV” version:
1Ti 2:15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
THE UNLEARNED AND UNSTABLE WRESTLE WITH SHA’UL’S WRITINGS
Now in the book of 2 Peter, he tells us that those who are unlearned and unstable will wrestle with the words of Sha’ul (Paul). This means that Sha’ul’s words will be hard to understood.
2Pe 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
But unlearned and unstable in what?
The words underlined above lets us know that unlearned and unstable refers to the Torah (the law). These words: ” as they do also the other scriptures“ refers to the prophets, the writings and other scriptures they have hidden from us.
Remember, there was no new testament bible when Peter made that statement. Back then Peter was living the new testament bible. It was not yet written.
So those who reject the law, or say the law is done away with cannot understand Paul!
That means the entire religion of Christianity cannot understand the very man on which they have built their religion.
In fact look at this…
Psa 111:10 The fear of YAHUAH is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.
Hence, if we do not do his commandments, we cannot have a good understanding. Therefore, validating 2 Peter 3:16 which says indirectly that if we are unlearned in the law, we will wrestle with Sha’ul’s (Paul’s) words to our destruction.
Consequently, let us go to the Torah to get the understanding of what Paul means by “she shall be saved in childbearing.”
Genesis 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; IN SORROW THOU SHALT BRING FORTH CHILDREN; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
There we go.
“I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; IN SORROW THOU SHALT BRING FORTH CHILDREN.”
Her punishment is the pain of childbearing. It is as simple as that.
But that is not all.
THE WOMAN MUST CONTINUE IN YAHUAH’S WILL
There is a condition that is added to childbearing found in 1 Tim 2:15. But before we look at that, we must know that if childbearing was all that was required to save a woman, then it would mean that as long as a woman bears a child she would be saved!
That is unrealistic and goes against the very word.
Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Rev 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of Aluah, and the faith of Yahusha.
That means righteousness is a requirement to be saved. We must do his commandments and have the faith of Yahusha.
We must not live in sin.
Remember also that an endurance is required. A simple act of childbearing alone does not save the women…
Mat_10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
FAITH, CHARITY AND HOLINESS WITH SOBRIETY
So what is missing? What is the condition?
The word “IF” below from the saved in childbearing bible verse tells us the conditions.
1 Timothy 2:15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, IF THEY CONTINUE IN FAITH AND CHARITY AND HOLINESS WITH SOBRIETY.
So we have the following conditions, in addition to being saved in childbearing:
1. Continue in Faith
2. Continue in Love
3. Continue in Holiness
4. Continie in Sobriety (self control)
Those are what Sha’ul says will save the woman.
Hence, it must be a virtuous woman who is saved in childbearing.
Pro 31:10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
Sir_26:3 A good wife is a good portion, which shall be given in the portion of them that fear YAHUAH.
Sir_7:19 Forego not a wise and good woman: for her grace is above gold.
SUBJECTION
She will also be in subjection to her husband, as spoken by the same Sha’ul (Paul).
1Co 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is HaMashiach; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of HaMashiach is Aluah.
1Co 14:34 Let your women keep silence in the assemblies: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
So where does the law say the woman should be under obedience?
Torah or “the law” is the term for the first five books of the bible. hence we have to go into the first five books to find the answer. Let’s go…
Gen 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
Genesis 3:16 is where the woman is commanded to be in obedience to her husband.
WHAT DOES SAVED IN CHILD BEARING MEAN?
So, to conclude as to what it means that a woman will be saved in childbearing? What does saved in childbearing mean?
The woman will be saved if she bears the curse of pain in childbearing, while being in subjection and obedience to her husband, walking in faith, love, holiness and self control.
That’s it!
That is your virtuous woman of Proverbs 31.
Otherwise? She will not be ready for the kingdom.
Sir 26:25 A shameless woman shall be counted as a dog; but she that is shamefaced will fear the Lord.
Sir_25:13 Give me any plague, but the plague of the heart: and any wickedness, but the wickedness of a woman:
Sir_25:19 All wickedness is but little to the wickedness of a woman: let the portion of a sinner fall upon her.
Consequently, if the woman is not virtuous, no matter how many children she bears, she will not be saved.
By the way, this is not saying that a woman who does not bear a child cannot be saved. The Most High sees the heart and judges the reins. Right living will be the key to save the childless woman as well as the childbearing woman.

I have pondered and meditated on that verse, and I think I have settled on an understanding that I don’t often hear, if ever. The wife’s desire will be for her husband, but she will be saved by childbirth. A woman desires to be in control of something/someone. Her husband would he inappropriate, outside of the created order, yet it is her desire. This can be easily seen today. Women desire to rule. When a woman has children, she now has someone to rule over. It saves her. Her desire to rule is now put to good use. She can be satisfied. Her children can be taught and ruled by her, as she is taught and ruled by her husband. The created order is complete.
