Woman In Subjection? Head Covering? Uncovering The Truth

WOMAN IN SUBJECTION? HEAD COVERING? WHAT DOES SHA’UL (PAUL) REALLY MEAN?

Today someone shared with me a video by Watchman Reports entitled “How does a woman cover her head if man is the head of woman?”

This husband and wife duo are very well known in the Hebrew awakening for their many videos they have done. In this video, they sought to tear down head coverings for women and claimed that persons who taught this were false teachers.

Now calling people false teachers are alone is a very bold claim. You see, we are in an awakening of the children of Yasharal, and we are all being given some truth. To think we are right and everyone else false is wrong! We will all err. Someone in error does not make them false!

So it was very ironic that they are in error in this. Should we now call them false teachers? No, they are simply in error. We know in part.

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN WOMEN IN SUBJECTION AND HEAD COVERINGS

Let us begin to show you why they are in error.

As long as the woman is teaching alongside the man, there is bound to be error! Why?

1 Timothy 2:12
But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

Because they have blatantly disobeyed this instruction, they have been caused to err, and Sha’ul’s figurative speech and great wisdom has eluded them and got them twisted. This warning was given in 2 Peter.

2Pe 3:15  And account that the longsuffering of our Master is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

2Pe 3:16  As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

Sha’ul’s writings are hard to be understood by those who are unlearned and unstable in the Torah (the law). We are going to show how the Torah will help us to understand Sha’ul on this one.

HOW DOES A WOMAN COVER HER HEAD IF MAN IS THE HEAD OF THE WOMAN

Yes how? If the man is already the head, how does the woman cover the man?

In actuality:

Covers her head = (physical) head covering,

but

Dishonors her head (head here is figurative) = dishonors her husband, who is her head (spiritual).

Sadly, the lack of understanding in this matter is revealed by the question they asked in the title of the video: “How does a woman cover her head if man is the head of Woman?”

IT ALL GOES BACK TO ADAM AND CHUAH (EVE)

You see, head covering in 1 Corinthians 11 and subjection of the woman goes back to Adam and Chuah (Eve) where the woman usurped the authority and the man allowed the woman to lead. Remember, those who are unlearned and unstable in Torah will not be able to understand Sha’ul, according to 2 Peter 2:15-16).

1 Timothy 2:12-14
[12]But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
[13]For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
[14]And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

As long as a woman leads, Satan is sitting there waiting to lure the woman into error by deceiving her. That is why Sha’ul says he suffers not a woman to teach or usurp authority over the man. The serpent will deceive the woman, who, leading in front of or being equal to the man, will be led to err. Subsequently, the man who allowed her to lead him will be caused to err as well.

Gen 3:6  And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

That is the cascading effect of a woman leading and having authority over the man. The woman will be helpless, easily seduced and lead astray by the devil:

Genesis 3:13
[13]And YAHUAH Aluah said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled (lead astray, seduced, deceived) me, and I did eat.

WHAT DOES HEAD COVERING HAVE TO DO WITH EVE

Now what does head covering have to do with Eve?

Yes, the hair is given to the woman as a physical covering, but the hair is her pride (1 Cor 11:15). Hence for a woman to be in subjection to her head (husband), she must cover her pride and splendor (glory), which is her hair.

Why?

The woman is more susceptible to the pride of life, lust of the flesh and lust of the eyes. That is why the serpent targeted the woman and did not go to the man. These are what caused Chuah (Eve) to sin.

Genesis 3:6
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food (lust of the flesh), and that it was pleasant to the eyes (lust of the eyes), and a tree to be desired to make one wise (pride of life), she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Note that the desire to make one wise is the pride of life. Bear this in mind as we will return to it soon.

Now  if the woman does not bring these under control (starting with covering her pride, which is her physical hair), then she is no better than Chuah.

CORRECTING THE FALL OF MANKIND

You see, the whole aim for our salvation is for mankind to return to the state we were in before the fall, before Chuah passed her place and Adam allowed her to lead. The woman must return to subjection and the man to his place of authority above the woman, or both will have failed because:

1 Corinthians 11:3
But I would have you know, that the head of every man is HaMashiach; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of HaMashiach is Aluah.

HONORING & DISHONORING HER HEAD

So when we see this:

1Co 11:5  But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.

It actually means this:

1Co 11:5  But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her (physical) head uncovered dishonoureth her (spiritual) head (who is her husband): for that is even all one as if she were shaven.

HEAD COVERED OR SHAVEN

Shaven? What is the significance of that?

1Co 11:6  For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.

If a woman does not want to cover her hair, she should shave it off! Why? Because it is her splendor, and for a woman to be in humility, the hair must be covered or shaven. Can’t you see that the hair is the problem?

DESIRED TO MAKE ONE WISE

We repeat, if you are not aligned properly with the law, you will not be able to understand Sha’ul.

Let us now check what it means “to make one wise” in Genesis 3:6.

Let’s see the meaning of wise as used in Gen 3:6:

English: wise
Hebrew: שׂכל
Transliteration: ώâkal
Pronunciation: saw-kal’
Definition: A primitive root; to be (causeatively make or act) circumspect and hence intelligent: – {consider} {expert} {instruct} {prosper} (deal) prudent ({-ly}) (give) skill ({-ful}) have good {success} {teach} ({have} make to) understand ({-ing}) {wisdom} ({be} behave {self} {consider} make) wise ({-ly}) guide wittingly.

See that? Chuah wanted to teach, to be wise, intelligent, to instruct!!! That is why she led Adam to sin.

PRIDE OF LIFE

A desire to be wise for the woman is pride of life. Remember we highlighted it earlier? That is why she must cover her physical pride so she can have humility and consequently, self control!

Speaking of self control. How does Sha’ul say a woman will be saved?

1 Timothy 2:15
Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

Saved in childbearing refers to her being married (otherwise her childbearing would be adultery or fornication) and hence in subjection to her husband.

But there are conditions: she must be in faith, charity, holiness, sobriety.

WHAT IS SOBRIETY?

Now what is sobriety?

Self control!

It goes right back to head covering, covering her pride, being in subjection to the man! Even as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him master (1 Peter 3:6).

USURPING THE ORDER OF CREATION

By disobeying the command for women to be under subjection and covering her physical head when praying and prophesying, she is usurping the order of creation. The woman must be silent and in subjection to the man, so the woman does not mislead the man.

If a man allows his woman to dominate him, he is no different from Adam, and how can he expect to enter the righteous kingdom, still not having undone the error of Adam?

For the woman, how can you expect to enter the kingdom if you are still in the ruach (spirit) of Chuah?  You have not brought yourself under the authority of your husband, hence you are not under the authority of the Messiah, neither under the authority of the Most High. Why?

1Co 11:3  But I would have you know, that the head of every man is HaMashiach; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of HaMashiach is Aluah.
