WHICH DAY OF THE WEEK IS SABBATH DAY (ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE)?
Which day of the week is sabbath day according to the bible?
Well, we know that in biblical time, the days did not have these names we were given. There was no Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, etc. It was simply the first day of the week and so on, until the 7th day.
Gen 2:2 And on the seventh day Aluhym ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
That is when a day had a name, called the sabbath. Sabbath simply means to cease or desist, rest, so we cease or desist from work and rest. And this sabbath day is on the seventh day according to the scriptures.
WHAT IS THE ORIGINAL SABBATH DAY?
So in understanding that, we must answer the question, what is the original sabbath day?
Which day that we have today was originally the seventh day spoken about in Genesis chapter 2 that we showed above?
Well, today, there are several camps. The majority of the world itself who say they worship the Mighty One of the bible (mostly through the religion of Christianity) do not keep a Sabbath.
Instead, they follow the ruling of the Catholic Church to say sovereignity of the sabbath has been moved to that church, and they now have the right to decide on the day of worship.
THE MOTHER HARLOT
But we must understand that the Catholic Church is the Mother of Harlots spoken about in Revelation 17. It is the religious arm of Babylon charged with corrupting everything. They are also the 666 referred to in Revelation 13:18. The 666 is chi xi stigma, which translates to Christ on a cross.
So, they are after the working of Satan.
On the contrary, the sabbath in our known history was on the day we call Saturday today, but they came and changed it, claiming they have the right to do so.
But there is another twist to this: the question is, was Saturday a deception?
SATURDAY THE WORSHIP OF SATURN?
Then it gets a bit more intriguing.
What’s in a name?
It has been claimed (and the tide is rising) that Saturday is the worship of Saturn. But in reality, all the days of the week have been named after objects of worship by the pagans.
So, if you look in the picture above, you will see that ALL THE DAYS OF THE WEEK are named after pagan gods. Sunday and Monday are for moon worship. Indeed, all the other days are named after the so-called planets!
So?
1. Sunday = sun
2. Monday = moon
3. Tuesday = Mars
4. Wednesday = Mercury
4. Thursday = Jupiter
5. Friday = Venus
6. Saturday = Saturn
So this shows me then, that the claim of them saying that the worship on a Saturday is the worship Saturn is absolutely frivolous and simply not sound.
Why?
If we worship on any other day, it could also be said that we are worshiping those gods. So our aim to find which day of the week is sabbath day absolutely cannot be based on this premise.
Indeed, Saturday being sabbath is actually strengthened by the devil’s children (Roman Catholic leaders) moving the sabbath away from Saturday.
Why?
If Saturday was the day of the devil, wouldn’t Satan’s children worship on that day Saturday? Think!
But we are not here to defend a day, we continue to seek the truth. So, read on.
THE LUNAR SABBATH
Now today, the major persons pushing to reject Saturday worship and to push worship on a day of the week, are those who keep a lunar sabbath.
This sabbath is based on the cycles of the moon. It implies that the sabbath is not on a fixed day, but whatever day it falls on according to the moon cycle. You may want to look on our previous post shown below for more on that.

WHAT IS THE SEVENTH DAY OF THE WEEK?
So the big question is, what is the seventh day of the week? Why is this question relevant? Because the sabbath was on the seventh day.
Gen 2:2 And on the seventh day Aluah ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
Now even the word “week” tells us that it is a multiple of seven.
Gen 29:27 Fulfil her week (H7620), and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years.

שְׁבֻעָה שָׁבֻעַ שָׁבוּעַ
shâbûa‛ shâbûa‛ shebû‛âh
shaw-boo’-ah, shaw-boo’-ah, sheb-oo-aw’
Properly passive participle of H7650 as a denominative of H7651; literally sevened, that is, a week (specifically of years): – seven, week.
Total KJV occurrences: 19
So a week is a multiple of sevens. It can be a week of years (as in Gen 29:27 above) or a week of days.
THE FIRST WEEK OF LUNAR CALENDAR IS EIGHT DAYS
Why is seven important?
Because the first week of the lunar calendar is actually eight days. The first day, new moon day, is like a sabbath and is not counted in the week. Then, there are six working days and then a seventh day that is a sabbath. That unfortunately means that the first week is eight days!
That breaks the continuous seven day cycle.
Now here is a very valuable post below, that actually shows in the bible, an instance in which this so-called 8-days cycle was not kept! It shows clearly from new moon to the sabbath day (at least in this case) was not eight (8) days! This post by itself destroys the notion of a lunar sabbath.

Consequently, the relevant question is, when were we commanded to change the original seven day cycle? When were we commanded to add that extra day at the beginning of the month?
Never.
He ordained the sabbath to be forever.
Exo 31:15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to YAHUAH: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
Exo 31:16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.
Exo 31:17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days YAHUAH made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
It is a perpetual covenant throughout their generations. That means it never changes…forever!
And by the way, he told us explicitly, when he swore by the sun and the moon.
Jer 31:35 Thus saith YAHUAH, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; YAHUAH of hosts is his name:
Jer 31:36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith YAHUAH, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.
The ordinances of the sun and moon, with their seven day sabbath cycle SHALL NOT DEPART? He swore they would not depart from him or ever!
So who changed it or is attempting to change it?
Man.
And remember this?
Deu 12:32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.
SATURDAY IS SABBATH IN OVER 100 COUNTRIES
And we know we can see what happened historically through ancient languages. Guess what? The word for Saturday in over 100 languages is actually a variation of the word “sabbath.”
Mind you, it is not a variation of Saturday (which they say is of pagan origin), but a variation of “sabbath.”
This is important, as one person told me that he does not trust what comes from the nations.
But consider this.
If it was a variation of the pagan originated word Saturday, then it would be suspect.
But why is the seventh day called sabbath in so many languages? Because the children of Yasharal were scattered in all nations.
Act_15:21 For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.
Act 2:5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
WHEN IS THE TRUE SABBATH DAY?
So when is the true sabbath day?
It is the seventh day of the week, the day today that they call Saturday.
It has never changed!
Only, we had the Catholics changing it, and now lunar sabbath keepers again seeking to change it.
Satan is a sly old fox.
Just think.
If Saturday was not the sabbath, why would his Catholic children change it to Sunday? Wouldn’t he have kept it and exalted the day so he gets everyone to profane the true sabbath (whichever other day it would have been)?

WE MUST HAVE A CHOICE BETWEEN GOOD AND EVIL
The truth is, the Most High never changes.
According to Torah, he has to give us a choice between the truth (Saturday) and lies (Sunday). We must know the truth and be tempted by the lie.
Deu 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
Deu 30:20 That thou mayest love YAHUAH thy Aluahd, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which YAHUAH sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.
Choosing the truth will make us be what Yahusha calls overcomers.
Rev 2:11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.
So what we have in our awakening was that awakened believers now started keeping the seventh day Saturday sabbath. They had ripped themselves away from Catholicism with its Sunday worship and now keeping seventh day “Saturday” sabbath.
But Satan never gives up.
He now starts to tell us that Saturday is not good.
“It is pagan!” he says.
To make it worse, we become blinded to the fact that whatever day we worship on could also be called pagan. Why? All the days of the week are named after so-called planets and idols.
So, we are misled into a false day of worship, running away from the seventh day that is called Saturday.
CONCLUSION -WHICH DAY OF THE WEEK IS SABBATH DAY
Let me tell you something about this writer. I am here for truth, even to my own hurt. Before this search for the scripture calendar, I was willing, ready and able to keep any day that I found as the sabbath. I was in search of truth, not seeking comfort!
Therefore, these findings are based on a search for truth, not on assuming something to be true, and then trying to find evidence for it.
As such, I am very confident that what has been presented to you in regards to the calendar, has no bias whatsoever. I will also share the calendar posts below for your reference.

The day we call Saturday today is the seventh day sabbath. The Most High never changed it, so it remains a continuous fifty two (52) weeks cycle that is for ever.

All praises to the Most High that we have been able to be of assistance to you along the way. Yes, we end prayer in the name of the son, as he is the mediator of our covenant with the Father. To be safe, I do not use Amen when I pray. Rather I use the phrase “So be it” or “So let it be,” which is what the word Amen is supposed to mean in plain English. Sometimes trying to resort to the language they gave us the bible in, is not advisable, because of the lying pen of the scribes.
