The Messiah (Christ) Hath Redeemed Us From The Curse of The Law?
Here is another grossly misunderstood quote from Sha’ul (Paul).
Now the major Christian understanding of the verse in question, is that the law is a curse.
However, like many popular Christian interpretations, it needs to be proven through scripture. Let’s see exactly what our core verse says.
Gal 3:13 The Messiah (Christ) hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
Is the Law a Curse?
Now the term “Curse of the law” implies that the law is a curse, doesn’t it? To the persons who don’t know what I am about to share, it would appear so. However, if we understand where Sha’ul is coming from, it takes on a whole different meaning.
Let’s first see where Sha’ul is coming from in scripture. For that we go to verse 10.
Gal 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
Now where is the aforementioned quote written?
Deu 28:58 If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, YHWH THY ELOHIYM;
Deu 28:59 Then YHWH will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.
Sha’ul was referring to Deuteronomy 28. Now what is so special about Deuteronomy 28?
Blessings of the Law
Deuteronomy 28 is divided into blessings and curses!!! The law has blessings and curses, depending on obedience. Here are blessings of the law:
Deu 28:1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of YHWH thy Elohiym, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that YHWH thy Elohiym will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
Deu 28:2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of YHWH thy Elohiym.
Curses of the Law
Mosheh then went on to list the blessings right up to verse 14. Then the curses began in verse 15 and continued right up to verse 68…
Deu 28:15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of YHWH thy Elohiym, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
Deu 28:16 Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.
Deu 28:17 Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store.
So the law is blessing for obedience and curses for disobedience. So what Sha’ul was speaking about is that the Messiah became a curse for us by hanging on the tree. Therefore we are redeemed from the curses of the law (Deut 28:15-68), so we are left with the blessings.
Gal 3:13 Mashiach hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
Now by the way, how did the Messiah become a curse for us?
Deuteronomy 21:22-23
22 And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree:
23 His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of Elohiym;) that thy land be not defiled, which YHWH thy Elohiym giveth thee for an inheritance.

Biblical Confirmation?
Does this fit into scripture? Sure! The curse of the law is payment for sin which is breaking the law (1 John 3:4). Now guess who came to die for our sin? The Messiah. So by dying on the tree, he has freed us from the burden of sin and the curses which come with it.
Paul Called the Law Holy
I could go on and on to explain more, but just want to get the point across.
So please, repent and stop saying YHWH’S holy laws are a curse. Even Sha’ul himself called the law holy:
Romans 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
David Called the Law Truth
David call it the truth, we say it is a curse?
Psalms 119:142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.
The Book of Proverbs calls the law light, and we say it is a curse?
Proverbs 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:
How could the law then be a curse?
The Curse of the Law
By calling the law a curse, we are stirring up wrath against ourselves on that day when we all have to give an account to the righteous judge. The law has rewards of blessings for obedience and curses for disobedience. That is all Paul means in Galations 3:13.
