DOES THE NEW TESTAMENT BIBLE SPEAK OF A CHRISTIAN INHERITANCE?
This may sound like a trivial question but it is of extreme importance. I was taught about
- “Jesus Christ” coming back for Christians.
- Christians going to heaven when they die
- Christians inheriting the kingdom
Is this what the Bible teaches?
Now why do I need to ask?
Because on the other side of the coin, I hear about:
- The inheritance of Israel
- The Bible (including the New Testament) speaking of Israel’s inheritance
- The entire Bible being one story, ending with the Messiah (the king of Israel) coming back to gather Israel
Is this what the Bible teaches?
Two totally contradictory views. Which one is correct? They can’t both be right, so whose inheritance is it?
The one that is is right is the true path and the one that is wrong is a lie. No two ways about it. So let’s dive in.
WHAT DOES INHERITANCE MEAN IN THE BIBLE?
So we begin by looking at the meaning of the word “Inheritance.”
English: inheritance
Hebrew: nachălâh
nakh-al-aw’
From H5157 (in its usual sense); properly something inherited, that is, (abstractly) occupancy, or (concretely) an heirloom; generally an estate, patrimony or portion: – heritage, to inherit, inheritance, possession. Compare H5158.
Inheritance, or nachălâh, essentially means someone’s portion, heritage or possession. It also denotes occupancy or possession of something inherited. It denotes ownership. It can therefore mean:
- Something someone already has (present), as in: “this is what I inherited from my father.”
- Something someone has not yet possessed, but should possess in the future, as in: “this is what I will inherit from my father after he dies, according to his promise to me.”
Understanding the biblical use of this word is absolutely important, as the Bible states who is YHWH’S people (portion/possession). These are those whom he currently claims as his own (present).
Notably, the bible will also reveal those whom will inherit his kingdom in the end time (future).
New covenant Israel claims to be his people, so do Christians. So again, which one is right?
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO KNOW WHOSE BIBLICAL INHERITANCE?
Is it important for us to make a distinction between the two (inheritance of Israel or Christians)?
You bet it is important.
We have to know who the Father professes as his people so we know who will be in his kingdom. Additionally, we have already stated that both cannot be right as both hold contradicting doctrines.
So let’s look at the 2 broad classes of new covenant/testament believers (New Covenant Israel vs Christians).
New Covenant Israel
On one hand we have Yashar’el/Yisra’el/Israel (those who overcome). This is a people of faith made up of believers from all over the world, not the country called Israel.
New/Yahushaic covenant Israel believers say their covenant in the Messiah is about walking in obedience to the commands and laws of the Father.
Legalistic
There are some who go back to keeping the law to the letter. For these, the Messiah does not seem to be the central point of their focus. Their focus is more on law keeping and the Messiah can at times appear to be an afterthought who is secondary to their literal law-keeping.
Walking in the Spirit
Then there are others who follow the lead of the Apostle Sha’ul and believe in walking in the Spirit (through faith in the Messiah Yahusha) in obedience to the spirit of the law, not the letter of the law (not literal law keeping). See Rom 2:29, Rom 7:6, 2 Cor 3:6.
The Messiah is the central point of their focus and they believe in obeying both the Father and the son (Rev 14:12).
Obedience
As a deduction therefore, new covenant Israel is marked by obedience or at the least, attempted obedience to the laws and commands of the father. This obedience is through faith in the Messiah.
Christianity
Then there is Christianity, which is marked by a rejection of the law in varying degrees. They believe in a combination of the following (in varying degrees):
- The ‘Christ’ fulfilled the law for them
- He nailed the law to the ‘cross’
- No one can keep the whole law
- We should only keep the ‘moral’ laws
- The law is generally done away with
- Law was for Jews
- Law is ‘old’ testament
- The Messiah came so we do not have to keep the law
Some Christian organizations keep what they call “moral laws” which is more or less keeping the 10 commandments. They do not keep the whole law (in the Spirit). Unfortunately for those who do this…
James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
This verse in Ya’aqov (James) means we cannot pick out what we choose from the law. We must obey all (which is achievable by walking in the Spirit to the spirit of the law.
See: Law Done Away With Or Magnified: What Did Paul Really Teach Concerning the Law?
So summarizing Christianity, it is generally marked by a disobedience to the law.
Two Directly Opposing Views
Right away we see we have 2 directly opposing views. One supports obedience to the law in varying ways. The other supports disobedience to the law (also in varying degrees).
So we have a standoff between diametrically opposed views where the law is concerned which can be expressed below:
OBEDIENCE (ISRAEL) VS DISOBEDIENCE (CHRISTIANITY)
Therefore, you should see the importance of this teaching.
We must decipher who the bible is all about, who has an inheritance with the Father, who will receive the inheritance? Israel or Christians?
Will it be those who reject the law or those who obey the law?
DIVIDING THE BIBLE INTO OLD AND NEW TESTAMENTS
One of the greatest injustices is dividing the Bible into old and new testaments and calling it as such. This makes people believe the old is fit for throwing away and all that is necessary is the new.
In reality, the Bible is one book. The new testament is fulfillment of what we call old testament.
Must See: Why Our Belief Is False If It Does Not Have an Old Testament Foundation.
So we will use this oneness of the testaments to show who has the inheritance. Indeed, the Father does nothing without first revealing it to his servants the prophets (Amos 3:7) and we know the prophets prophesied of the new testament in Yahusha until John (Mat 11:3).
So our strategy is to look at the inheritance spoken about and prophesied from the Tanakh (old testament) and then see if anything changed in the new testament.
PART 1: ‘OLD’ TESTAMENT – ISRAEL HIS INHERITANCE
The old testament is filled with references to Israel as his inheritance. Inheritance here means actual possession. I share some of these references below:
Deu 32:9 For YHWH’S portion is his people; Jacob (Israel) is the lot of his inheritance.
Deu 4:20 But YHWH hath taken you (Israelites), and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, even out of Egypt, to be unto him a people of inheritance, as ye are this day.
Deu 9:29 Yet they (children of Israel) are thy people and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest out by thy mighty power and by thy stretched out arm.
1 Ki 8:51 For they (children of Israel) be thy people, and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest forth out of Egypt, from the midst of the furnace of iron:
1 Ki 8:53 For thou didst separate them (children of Israel) from among all the people of the earth, to be thine inheritance, as thou spakest by the hand of Moses thy servant, when thou broughtest our fathers out of Egypt, O YHWH Elohim.
Israel is his inheritance.
PROPHECY OF NEW COVENANT ISRAEL IN THE TANAKH
But is there prophecy of the religion of Christianity (where they are shown as his inheritance) in the old testament (Tanakh)?
I cannot find one, maybe you can, but I found this:
Jer 23:7-8 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith YHWH, that they shall no more say, YHWH liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
But, YHWH liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.
See also Ezek 36:22-28.
Those prophecy of a time when Israel will finally be gathered. That is as described as finally being accomplished here in the new covenant:
Mar 13:27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
HE WILL NOT CAST OFF HIS INHERITANCE
It is very important to know that the Father will never cast away his people.
Psa 94:14 For YHWH will not cast off his people (Israel), neither will he forsake his inheritance (Israel).
In the new testament, Sha’ul emphasized this fact. Speaking of a remnant of Israel, Sha’ul said:
Rom 11:2-5 YHWH hath not cast away his people (Israel) which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to Elohim against Israel, saying, YHWH, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.
But what saith the answer of Elohim unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant (Israel) according to the election of grace.
So in this time of favour (grace), there is a remnant of Israel (in the flesh)…and the Bible tells us they are scattered over the 4 corners of the earth.
INHERITANCE TO STRANGERS (GENTILES)
The Bible also speaks of an inheritance for Gentiles. However, it comes with conditions. Let’s look at the verses and see the conditions for the Gentiles:
Isa 56:3 Neither let the son of the stranger (gentiles/heathen), that hath joined himself to YHWH, speak, saying, YHWH hath utterly separated me from his people (Israel): neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.
Isa 56:6-8 Also the sons of the stranger (gentiles), that join themselves to YHWH, to serve him, and to love the name of YHWH, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
Even them will I bring to my holy mountain (Zion), and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people (Israel + Gentiles).
YHWH Elohim which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him (Gentiles), beside those that are gathered unto him.
Those Who Join to the Father Join to Israel
Take a look at: “Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to YHWH, speak, saying, YHWH hath utterly separated me from his people” (verse 3).
This is saying as long as a Gentile joins themselves to YHWH, they join themselves to his people (Israel)!
Gentile Believers Partake of Israel’s Covenants
Then we see the conditions: “every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant.”
The Gentiles have to partake of the covenant he has with Israel! He has no separate covenant for Gentiles. Gentiles cannot separate themselves from Israel and be considered his people!
This is true for whatever covenant is available. At the time of Isaiah’s writing, it was the Sinai Covenant. Today, it is the Yahushaic covenant (covenant through faith in the Messiah Yahusha).
He Will Also Gather Gentiles In The Gathering of Israel
Verse 8 tells us that in the prophesied gathering of Israel in our covenant, he will also gather Gentiles as well in the gathering of Israel.
Isa 56:8 YHWH Elohim which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.
So Gentiles do not have a separate covenant, but are joined to Israel and will be gathered with Israel in one body (Eph 4:4, Col 3:15, Rom 12:5). Therefore, Gentiles must obey the laws given to Israel. Hence the reason we have: “every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant.”
THE HEATHEN (GENTILES) FOR AN INHERITANCE
In Psalms 2:8, David prophesied that the Messiah will be given the heathen (gentiles/strangers) for an inheritance.
Psa 2:8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
Importantly, Yechezqel also tells us how the heathen will be given their inheritance in Israel. This is an Hebrew Israelite oversight. They keep saying the inheritance is for Israelites (in the flesh) ONLY! That is so false.
They don’t realize that provision has long been made for strangers to join themselves to Israel.
Eze 47:21-23 So shall ye divide this land unto you according to the tribes of Israel. And it shall come to pass, that ye shall divide it by lot for an inheritance unto you, and to the strangers (gentiles) that sojourn among you, which shall beget children among you: and they shall be unto you as born in the country among the children of Israel; they shall have inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel.
And it shall come to pass, that in what tribe the stranger sojourneth, there shall ye give him his inheritance, saith YHWH Elohim.
Num 15:16 One law and one manner shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth with you.
INHERITANCE TO THE ENEMIES OF ISRAEL
Again, I wonder if these extremist Hebrew Israelites (who are more or less preaching racism) have ever read this scripture? YHWH in his mercy, has also extended his hand to Israel’s enemies, if they join Israel! Take a look:
AN INHERITANCE FOR THE ENEMIES OF HIS PEOPLE WHO LEARN THE WAYS OF ISRAEL
Jer 12:14-17 Thus saith YHWH against all mine evil neighbours, that touch the inheritance which I have caused my people Israel to inherit; Behold, I will pluck them out of their land, and pluck out the house of Judah from among them.
And it shall come to pass, after that I have plucked them out I will return, and have compassion on them, and will bring them again, every man to his heritage, and every man to his land.
And it shall come to pass, if they will diligently learn the ways of my people, to swear by my name, YHWH liveth; as they taught my people to swear by Baal; then shall they be built in the midst of my people.
But if they will not obey, I will utterly pluck up and destroy that nation, saith YHWH.
These verses destroy this “all white people are damned and have no hope” line of preaching. The Father is full of favour (grace) and mercy and it is not his will that anyone should perish (2 Peter 3:9). Even Israel’s enemies are offered favour and mercy.
PUNISHMENT FOR HIS INHERITANCE
If his people go too far into sin, he will forsake them.
2Ki 21:14-15 And I will forsake the remnant of mine inheritance, and deliver them into the hand of their enemies; and they shall become a prey and a spoil to all their enemies;
Because they have done that which was evil in my sight, and have provoked me to anger, since the day their fathers came forth out of Egypt, even unto this day.
Deu 28:15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of YHWH thy Elohim, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
This is why Israel is scattered in the 4 corners of the earth today. Gross disobedience brought a rejection from the Father:
Jer 3:8 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.
MERCY FOR HIS PUNISHED PEOPLE: THE GATHERING OF ISRAEL
Because of his mercy and favour though, the Father has promised several times in the Bible, to gather his people and take them out of punishment:
Joe 3:1-2 For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,
I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.
Jer 23:7-8 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith YHWH, that they shall no more say, YHWH liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
But, YHWH liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.
Eze 37:21 And say unto them, Thus saith YHWH Elohim; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:
SUMMARY OF PART 1 (OLD TESTAMENT INHERITANCE)
So that is his inheritance in the old testament. He chose a people for his inheritance (possession). He promised never to cast them off (for good) and made provision for gentiles who joined themselves to Israel to also be his inheritance.
The Messiah was promised the Gentiles for an inheritance and a promise was even made for the enemies of Israel to also join Israel and become his inheritance.
He also forsook and dished out punishment for his inheritance who went too far into sin, but promised to gather them in the end. This promise refers to the new covenant, and that is where we are headed. There, we will look and see if anything has changed.
Has his inheritance now shifted away from Israel to Christianity? Let’s see.
PART 2: NEW COVENANT – INHERITANCE FOR ISRAEL OR CHRISTIANITY?
Our task is now to see whether things have changed. Does the fact that the Father sent us his son change who is his inheritance (his heritage/people/possession)?
Never forget the importance of solving this:
Israel walks in obedience to the laws of the Father, Christianity walks in disobedience (to varying degrees). So let us continue.
Acts 26:18 To open their (the Gentiles) eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto Elohim, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
Sanctified By Faith In The Messiah
The new testament clearly states that his people are those who are sanctified through faith in the Messiah. It is no longer primarily a straight ethnic grouping. Indeed, it never was. Provision was always made for strangers. Even when departing Egypt:
Exo 12:38 And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle.
It is quite clear. One body through faith in Yahusha.
Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek (gentile), there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Mashiach Yahusha.
Col 3:11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Mashiach is all, and in all.
Does the Oneness in the Messiah Change Who Is Now the Father’s Inheritance?
However, the question is, does this oneness in the Messiah cause the inheritance to change to Christianity? The verse below speaks volumes:
Gal 6:15 For in Mashiach Yahusha neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
Sha’ul was speaking here of the new testament faith in Messiah where it does not matter if you are circumcised (Israel in the flesh) or uncircumcised (Gentiles), but as long as one becomes a new creature (born again) through faith that is in the Messiah.
However, look at the verse that comes after as shown below and you will see that these new testament believers are still Israel! Yes, consistent with old testament prophecies, the new testament believers are still his people, his inheritance: Israel.
We will see this clearly when we look at both verses together:
Gal 6:15-16 For in Mashiach Yahusha neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of Elohim (God).
That one body in which neither circumcision nor uncircumcision availeth any thing is known as the Israel of YHWH/Elohim.
THE INHERITANCE IN THE KINGDOM OF THE MESSIAH
Without a doubt, we must also know that the saints’ inheritance is the kingdom of heaven, aka the kingdom of Elohim (God), aka the kingdom of the Messiah.
Eph 5:5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Messiah and of Elohim.
So most importantly, we must know if the Messiah is king of Christians or Israel.
Once again, never forget the importance of this distinction: Israel walks in obedience to the Father’s commandments and laws and Christians walk in disobedience. We must find which is biblically (not religiously) correct.
THE MESSIAH IS THE KING OF WHERE?
So we know the inheritance is in the kingdom of the Messiah. Is he Messiah the king of the Christians?
John 1:49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of Elohim; thou art the King of Israel.
John 12:13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of YHWH.
So most definitely, the Messiah is the king of Israel. Since he is the king of Israel, it means the kingdom is Israel and NOT CHRISTIANITY, as the Father promised here:
Eze 11:17 Therefore say, Thus saith YHWH Elohim; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.
This is emphasized through this dialogue:
Act 1:6-7 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Master, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
The Messiah did not rebuke them and say no, there will be no kingdom of Israel, there will be a Christian kingdom or a different kingdom. He said it is not for them to know when he will be restoring the kingdom of Israel.
No Christian inheritance there or anywhere I have seen so far for that matter…but there’s more.
WHO DID THE MESSIAH COME FOR?
He expressly stated that he came for the house of Israel. He did not say he came for Christians.
Mat 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
But in prophecy, he was promised to also gather Gentiles as well.
Isa 11:12 And he shall set up an ensign (banner/flag) for the nations (gentiles), and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.
That ensign or banner is the Messiah as a king, the king of Israel. The Gentiles shall seek the king to line up behind his (spiritual) banner:
Isa 11:10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign (banner/flag) of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.
This is expressed in this powerful verse below:
John 10:16 And other sheep I have (Lost 10 tribes/Gentiles), which are not of this fold (house of Judah): them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice (follow the way, follow his commands, walk as he walked, abide in him); and there shall be one fold (Israel of YHWH), and one shepherd (Yahusha HaMashiach).
Let’s give a bonus or ‘brawta’ as we say in Jamaica:
Isaiah 56:8 YHWH Elohim which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.
The house of Israel that the Messiah came for includes the strangers (gentiles) added to Israel!
COMMONWEALTH OF ISRAEL
The following verses give even more insights as to who the new covenant believers are. It specifically targets Gentiles, so it shows us how the Bible views those who are not Israelites in the flesh.
Are they now a new religion? The verses are extremely revealing and below it I will break down the critical elements:
Eph 2:11-22 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
That at that time ye were without Messiah, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without Elohim in the world:
But now in Messiah Yahusha ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Messiah. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto Elohim in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of Elohim; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Yahusha Messiah himself being the chief corner stone;
In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in YHWH: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of Elohim through the Spirit.
The Bible speaks only once about the commonwealth of Israel, but goes into detail here in Ephesians 2, enough to let us see precisely that Sha’ul is telling us that when Gentiles come into the faith, they are brought into the commonwealth of Israel.
- Ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh – they are now no longer Gentiles (then who are they now but Israel?)
- That at that time (while Gentiles) ye were without Messiah – while Gentiles (in the past), they were without the Messiah
- Being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel – at that time they were not a part of Israel
- and strangers from the covenants of promise – (while strangers they were not partakers of Israel’s covenants…notice the plural: when one accepts the Messiah, one accepts all the previous covenants! See verse 20)
- having no hope, and without Elohim in the world (having Elohim is equated with being partakers of Israel’s promises – not partakers of Israels covenants and promises means you are without YHWH):
- But now in Messiah Yahusha ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh (now they have accepted Messiah, they are brought near to YHWH, just as the priests of old wedre near to YHWH – see Lev 10:3, Exo 24:2)
- No more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints (no longer Gentiles/strangers to Israel, but now equal citizens alongside Israelite believers)
- and of the household of Elohim (since they are now in the commonwealth of Israel, they are now YHWH’S people)
- And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets (built upon the same foundation as Israelites, partaking of the same covenants, subject to the same laws)
- Yahusha Messiah himself being the chief corner stone (all this made possible through faith in the Messiah).
So it is obvious that true new covenant believers are not those who join a new religion called Christianity. On the contrary, they are those who join the “commonwealth of Israel” through faith in the Messiah.
Remember again the importance of this teaching? To see whether we are to walk in obedience to the Father’s commandments and laws (Israel) or whether it is do as thou wilt or disobedience (Christianity).
If you want to look at this in more detail, click here for Biblical Inclusion of Gentiles Into Israel.
THE ISRAEL OF ELOHIM/YHWH
We touched on this before, but just to bond it with the commonwealth of Israel, we need to mention it again. The “Israel of God” (King James Version).
Gal 6:15-16 For in Mashiach Yahusha neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of Elohim (God).
The term Israel of Elohim denotes those who are are set apart through faith in the Messiah into a new covenant Israel.
This phrase (like commonwealth of Israel) is used only once in the Bible. It proves that Israel is not dead and new covenant believers do not join a new religion.
By the way, the Messiah was always at ‘war’ with the religious, and he only told us to follow the way. So how could he have come to establish a religion called Christianity or Jehovah’s Witnesses or any other ‘new’ thing for that matter?
This Israel of Elohim denotes the Father’s ownership of us as believers and we now become his sons:
1 John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of Elohim: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
This Israel of Elohim is characterized by circumcision nor uncircumcision being of none importance. What is important is that one is born again of the Spirit through faith in the Messiah.
Nothing has changed! It is still Israel in the new covenant, just as in the old.
GATES OF ENTRY INTO THE KINGDOM
It gets even worse for Christianity. There is probably nothing that tells us more profoundly that the inheritance is still Israel’s (that his people are still Israel, not Christians). The gates of entry into the kingdom are of parfticular significance. After describing the bride, Yahuchanon told us:
Rev 21:12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
There is no Christian gate of entry! That means one cannot enter as a Christian!!!
On the contrary, to enter, we must join ourselves onto Israel. Simple. Nothing has changed.
The Almighty Father must keep his promises to give the land of Israel back to Israel or he would be a liar and we know he cannot lie.
Eze 11:17 Therefore say, Thus saith YHWH Elohim; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.
So, he cannot lie, neither does he change:
Mal 3:6 For I am YHWH, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
Also, he could not give the land of Israel to Gentiles because the Mashiach prophesied:
Luk 21:24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
So when this time is fulfilled, the land must be given back to his people Israel. Christians can only partake of this promise by joining themselves to Israel.
Now we will see what it means to join oneself to Israel by next looking at who will enter the gates of the city.
WHO SHALL ENTER THE GATES OF THE CITY?
The difference again between Christians and Israel is not a ritual or keeping Jewish traditions or dressing a particular way. The difference is simply one word: OBEDIENCE.
New covenant Israel strives to walk in obedience to the laws and commands of the Father. Because we are in a spiritual covenant, Israel should not walk to the letter of the law (rigid, literal interpretation), but to the spirit of the law (spiritual interpretation). This is why:
Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
INHERITANCE OF THE SAINTS
Now Sha’ul spoke of the inheritance of the saints.
Col 1:12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.
We are partakers of this inheritance, which again emphasizes the fact that we join onto these people. We do not create something new. Let us see what it means to be a saint:
Greek: hagios
hag’-ee-os
From ἅγος hagos (an awful thing) compare G53, [H2282]; sacred (physically pure, morally blameless or religious, ceremonially consecrated): – (most) holy (one, thing), saint.
As you can see, saints does not describe someone walking in disobedience. In fact let;s see its scriptural meaning right now:
Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of Elohim, and the faith of Yahusha.
See that?! They obey the Fathers commandments/laws and have faith in his son. We are partakers of the saints. This means we too MUST do what they do!
Christianity tries to tell us we cannot do both (keep the commandments of the Father and faith in his Son). However, the inheritance is for those who do both!
It is evident then, that Christians are not true saints! Therefore it sadly means that they are not partakers of the saints in light. Again:
Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed (saints), which keep the commandments of Elohim, and have the testimony of Yahusha Messiah.
The remnant of the woman’s (Israel’s) seed. This is new covenant Israel, who walk in obedience to the Father’s laws through faith in his Son. Again, Christians will tell you faith alone, no commandments/laws. The are dead wrong.
NOTHING HAS CHANGED IN THE BIBLE: OBEDIENCE IS STILL THE WAY
Trying to separate the Bible into old and new and do away with the ‘old’ is doing violence to the law.
Zep 3:4 Her prophets are light and treacherous persons: her priests have polluted the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law.
However, they cannot change the truth. This still holds true to the end of the Bible:
Deu 30:16 If you obey the commandments of YHWH your Elohim that I command you today, by loving YHWH your Elohim, by walking in his ways, and by keeping his commandments and his statutes and his rules, then you shall live and multiply, and YHWH your Elohim will bless you in the land that you are entering to take possession of it (the new covenant kingdom of the Messiah).
Deu 28:1 “And if you faithfully obey the voice of YHWH your Elohim, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, YHWH your Elohim will set you high above all the nations of the earth.
Deu 28:2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of YHWH your Elohim
Those are blessings for obeying the law. Below we have the curse, which still has not changed. That is why the children of disobedience are appointed unto wrath (Col 3:5-6).
Deu 28:15 “But if you will not obey the voice of YHWH your Elohim or be careful to do all his commandments and his statutes that I command you today, then all these curses shall come upon you and overtake you.
The choice is ours. Life and good or death and evil.
Deu 30:15 “See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil.
Choose life. Choose obedience…choose Israel.
These verses hold true to the end. The new testament is simply the fulfilment of the promises of the ‘old’ testament. It does not erase or replace the law.
WHAT CHANGED? RELIGIOUS SYNCRETISM
What changed? Why are we taught about a Christian inheritance? Why is Israel a seemingly forbidden word?
So often I am condemned for using the word Israel…even mocked by a Baptist pastor a few days ago, who claimed I need the Holy Spirit, and I need to accept “Jesus Christ” as my saviour, calling the Israel teaching a strange doctrince.
Do you see how we hve been deceived? Wrong is right and right is wrong.
To show what brought us to this, the following was taken from one of my previous articles entitled: Why the Institutional Church is not biblical.
syncretism
noun
the amalgamation or attempted amalgamation of different religions, cultures, or schools of thought.
This began in the history of Israel through the Greek King Antiochus who forced Israel to reject Torah and accept Greek pagan customs. This is chronicled historically in 1 Maccabees 1: 41-44 and 2 Maccabees 6 starting at verse 1.
Now the protestant church fathers removed the Apocrypha (that includes the Macabees) from the Bible because they say they are not inspired. The Macabees are history books that were indeed used by the followers of the way (the early believers).
The apocrypha is a selection of books which were published in the original 1611 King James Bible. These apocryphal books were positioned between the Old and New Testament (it also contained maps and geneologies). The apocrypha was a part of the KJV for 274 years until being removed in 1885 A.D.
Like most of the books in the Apocrypha that were taken out of the bible, they can be very revealing of the modern religious establishment:
1 Maccabees 1: 41-44
Moreover king Antiochus (of Greece) wrote to his whole kingdom that all should be one. And everyone should leave his law: so all the heathen agreed accordingly to the commandments of the king.
Yea, many also of the Israelites consented to his religion and sacrifice unto idols and profaned the sabbaths. For the king had sent letters by messengers unto Jerusalem and to the cities of Juda, that they should follow the strange law of the land.
2 Maccabees 6:1-
Not long after they sent a man from Athens (Greece) to compel the Jews to depart from the law of their fathers, and not live after the law of YHWH. And to pollute the temple in Jerusalem, and called it the temple (church) of Jupiter Olympius and that in Garizm of Jupiter, the defender of strangers. The temple was filled with riots and revelling Gentiles. Neither was it lawful for a man to keep the sabbath days or ancient feasts or profess himself at all to be a Jew.
This spirit of syncretism continued in the Roman Emperors and with Rome ruling Yahudah, the Yahudiym (Jews) became their enemies.
Speaking on the point of rejecting the feast of Passover and celebrating Easter instead, in his letter after the First Council of Nicaea, Roman Emperor Constantine said:
“… it appeared an unworthy thing that in the celebration of this most holy feast we should follow the practice of the Jews, who have impiously defiled their hands with enormous sin, and are, therefore, deservedly afflicted with blindness of soul … Let us then have nothing in common with the detestable Jewish crowd; for we have received from our Saviour a different way.”
Therefore, this irregularity must be corrected, in order that we may no more have any thing in common with those parricides and the murderers of our Lord. … no single point in common with the perjury of the Jews.”
So over the next few centuries the same spirit of separation and creating their own religion continued. Catholic ecumenical councils include 21 councils over a period of some 1900 years.
These councils met and voted on everything that is doctrine in Christianity today. In other words, many Christian traditions are not Biblical traditions, but the traditions of men.
The Christian councils accepted several pagan traditions including Easter, which is the celebration of Ishtar (the Queen of Heaven). They also brought in their pagan doctrines, including incarnation, the trinity and many other doctrines Christians hold dear today.
So the inheritance in heaven for Christians is another such deviation. They would never allow their believers to accept an Israel inheritance. They had to teach a lie.
After all, Christianity is a European religion.
CONCLUSION: IS THERE A CHRISTIAN SALVATION DESCRIBED IN THE BIBLE?
The Bible is one complete book and proves itself as such. From in the so called ‘old’ testament, the Father spoke of his people, Israel. He spoke of them as his inheritance and brought them into the land of Israel as such.
When they transgressed, he scattered them over the face of the earth, but promised to gather them back and bring them back to the land of Israel.
The New Testament is the new covenant in which he makes good on his promise to gather Israel. He sent his son so that faith in him would create an Israel made up of the scattered house of Israel, dispersed house of Judah as well as Gentiles.
These are gathered in one “Israel of Elohim.”
Gentile believers join themselves to YHWH through the Messiah and are brought into the commonwealth of Israel.
Saints of the new covenant Israel are guests at the wedding of the Messiah and his bride (Jerusalem).
These saints who are in the Israel of YHWH or the commonwealth of Israel have their inheritance in the kingdom of Messiah Yahusha, who is the king of Israel.
This kingdom has gates in the names of the 12 tribes of Israel, which means one cannot enter unless one joins oneself to Israel. The criteria for entry into the kingdom is keeping the commandments of YHWH through faith in his Son.
There is no Christian inheritance nor Christian kingdom.
This is an illusion of truth from the created religion of Christianity. False teachers have taught it for over 1900 years, so much so, that it is now accepted as truth. Anything else is viewed as false.
“Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth”, is a law of propaganda often attributed to the Nazi Joseph Goebbels. Among psychologists something like this known as the “illusion of truth” effect. Source: How Liars Create The Illusion Of Truth.
It is never about the Greco-Roman syncretized religion of Christianity (which is a creation of man based on pagan religions and the traditions of man).
On the contrary, it has always been and will always be about Israel, now to be gathered in these last days through faith in his Son, who leads Israel into obedience to his Father, so they can walk in the Spirit in obedience to his laws and commands.
Israel is his inheritance…his people forever. A Christian inheritance is a false claim in a false messiah by false European pretenders to the throne.
This fallacy is proclaimed by the false prophets, the preachers and teachers of Christianity. Search the Bible from Genesis to Revelation: the Bible does not support an inheritance for a disobedient people.
Deu 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
Choose life…choose obedience…choose Israel. Follow the true Messiah Yahusha HaMashiach, the King of Israel. Partake in the inheritance of the saints and you have an inheritance in the kingdom of YHWH.
The only Christian kingdom there is, is located in Rome. Is that where you want your inheritance to be?
